Anguilla Police Report:
19-year-old fined for possession
The Royal Anguilla Police Force (RAPF) on Friday, November 25, arrested and charged 19-year-old Joshua Price of South Hill for possession of 36 grams of cannabis.
The alleged offender was taken before the Magistrate’s Court on Monday, November 28, where he pled guilty and was fined EC $3,300 to be paid on or before March 28, 2017 or serve 3 months in prison.
26-year-old fined EC $3,500
The RAPF on Thursday, November 24, arrested 26-year-old Suriel Rafael Florentino Tejeda of The Quarter for theft of 10 bottles of alcohol totaling EC $486.
The alleged offender, who charged with the offence of theft, was taken before the Magistrate’s Court on Friday, November 25, where he pled guilty to the charge and was fined EC $3,500 to be paid in 6 months or serve 3 months in prison.
Insp. Emris Rogers retires after 33 years
The RAPF announced the retirement of Insp. Emris Roger after 33 years as a police officer in the Royal Anguilla Police Force.
Insp. Rogers, who joined the RAPF on January 1, 1983 has served in many of the departments and benefitted from numerous training programs in and out of Anguilla.
He worked in Beat and Patrol, Traffic, Out Station, Government House, Financial Investigations Unit and the Criminal Investigation Department. Most of his years of policing were spent in the Criminal Investigation Department.
In recent years Insp. Rogers acted as Superintendent of Police with responsibility for Operational Policing. Insp. Roger’s retirement is effective December 1, 2016.
The Commissioner of Police and other ranks of the Royal Anguilla Police Force wished Insp. Rogers a very productive retirement.
