Sickle Cell Foundation receives donation from Black Medical Student Association

PHILIPSBURG – Uju Ubah a medical student of the American University of the Caribbean (AUC) and also the current president of the Black Medical Student Association (BMSA), recently contacted the Sint Maarten Sickle Cell Foundation to inform that they were the chosen recipients of a donation from the association.

The BMSA holds a show each year to raise funds for a local charity on the island.

The BMSA has worked with the Sickle Cell Foundation before to raise awareness about the disease on Community Action Day.
