CAY HILL – On Saturday, January 28, National Institute of Arts (NIA) will present a free circus act performance at the Gym Hall at the Asha Stevens Christian Hillside School in Cay Hill.

The free performance is to showcase the talents of Olga Subbota and partner Alexse, two international circus performers, who will offer circus-genre classes at the National Institute of Arts.

This collaboration between NIA and Olga Entertainment Agency is new partnership to create and expand the creative expressive opportunities for St. Maarten’s children.

The circus platform is a wonderful opportunity for children to explore more fun activities and develop physical coordination, endurance and agility. The group classes will help foster communications skills amongst students an in a safe, creative and supportive environment building on trust.

In the beginning students will focus on strength and flexibility training as well as endurance. As they progress, students will be introduced to specific circus genres.

Students interested in circus-genre classes can now acquire skills in juggling, hand balance, balancing numerous hoola-hoops, aerial acts and many more skills from the circus world.

Classes begin in February, and are scheduled every Saturday afternoon for children as young as four years old to interested adults.

The performance is Saturday, January 28, at 1:30pm sharp at the Asha Stevens campus in Cay Hill. For more information contact NIA at 1 (721) 543-0600 or niasxm@gmail.com.

NIA is open daily from 2:00pm to 6:00pm accepting registration for circus classes.
