Chairlady of Parliament Sarah Wescot-Williams in attendance at the lecture, organized by the Council of Advice themed, “St. Maarten and the EU after 2020.” Also in the picture is Vice-chair of the Council of Advice Mavis Brooks-Salmon and Ombudsman Nilda Dr. Arduin. The lecturer for the evening was Dr. Flora Goudappel, with whom the Chairlady had met earlier in the day.

“The EU funding dossier remains important for St. Maarten, and developments in Europe must be carefully followed.”

As Prime Minister from 2010-2014, the Chairlady of Parliament was an active participant in the Overseas Countries and Territories Association (OCTA) and served as the regional representative for several funding programs.
