VALLEY, Virgin Gorda, VI- Information just reaching our newsroom is that a small plane crashed at the Taddy Bay Airport on Virgin Gorda today, February 11, 2017.
It is not clear at this time what were the circumstances surrounding the incident: however, a photo shared with our newsroom shows the aircraft off the runway.
There were reportedly no injuries and it is unclear at this time how many persons were in the airplane at the time of the mishap.
BVI Airports Authority’s (BVIAA) Director of Operations, Mr Coy Levons confirmed the incident to Virgin Islands News Online and said indeed there were no injuries but did not give any further information.
