PHILIPSBURG – Coach Tom Burnett and his wife Lisa must be commended on their efforts to ensure that their players receive extra assistance that will give them a competitive edge and enhance their skills in Maths, Reading, Comprehension, and Science.
An extensive tour was given a week ago to the Soualiga Corporate Toastmasters Club whose members volunteered their time to assist the coach.
It is for this reason the board of the Sint Maarten Community Outreach Foundation recognized Coach Tom and Lisa Burnett as February’s donation recipients.
The donation consisted of books that ranged from the aforementioned subject areas.
The donation was well received and the foundation is urging others to take some time out and invest in the initiative that the coach has started with young aspiring baseball players.
