Permanent Committee of Petitions scheduled to meet Tuesday on new Constitution referendum

PHILIPSBURG, Sint Maarten – The Permanent Committee of Petitions, will meet on March 7.

The Petitions Committee meeting is scheduled for Tuesday at 11.00 am in the General Assembly Chamber of the House at Wilhelminastraat #1 in Philipsburg.

The agenda point to be discussed is:

Discussion on petition for Parliament to convene a new constitution referendum at the earliest possible date (IS/438/2016-2017 dated January 31, 2017)

This petition was submitted by the President for Independence for St. Martin Foundation, Mr. Joseph Lake as the principal initiator and supported by 30 other citizens.

Members of the public are invited to the House of Parliament to attend parliamentary deliberations.

The House of Parliament is located across from the Court House in Philipsburg.
