RAPF takes another step I their fight against illegal firearm use in Anguilla

Five members of the Royal Anguilla Police Force have benefited from training enabling the organization to now examine and identify ammunition used in Anguilla in criminal activity.

The training which was conducted during the week 13th – 17th March, 2017 exposed the officers to the equipment, technology and process of examining rounds, spent cartridges as well as projectiles associated with the illegal use of firearms in Anguilla.

The equipment was provided by Electronics Forensic Technology Ltd., to the sum of US $350000.00 which now forms part of the new RAPF Forensic and Exhibit Centre provided by Child Exploitation and Online Protection Funding.

The acquisition of this technology will now allow the RAPF to handle and process firearm related cases in a timelier manner at the same time alleviating the need to import specialist services during the investigation of firearms related matters.
