SSSD workshop: “Living with Anger: How to get a grip on it!”

PHILIPSBURG – Do you or someone you know struggle with controlling anger? Does your child have anger management issues? Is this behavior interfering with the child’s ability to get along with his/her peers, teachers or school personnel? Then this workshop is for you!

The Student Support Services Division (SSSD) of the Ministry of Education, Culture, Youth and Sport is organizing an interactive and informative Workshop entitled: “Living with Anger: How to get a grip on it!”

Parents, school personnel and other interested persons are encouraged to come to this informative and interactive workshop, which will be held on Wednesday, April 5, at the University of St. Martin (USM) from 7:00pm to 9:00pm.

The objective of the workshop is to help persons understand what anger is and how it can negatively impact their lives and interpersonal relationships. This workshop will also provide tips and strategies that attendees can utilize within their home, school and other social settings. Presenter for this evening will be Psychologist Aisheline Maduro.

The SSSD provides services to students referred by the schools and by extension their families. These services consist of psychological, counseling, social work, educational diagnostic, career services, and parent education sessions.
