HARBOUR VIEW – On April 4, the Governor of St. Maarten Eugene B. Holiday administered the oath of office of Mellissa Arrindell-Doncher, as Minister of Tourism, Economic Affairs, Transport and Telecommunication.
The Council of Ministers is now complete with 7 members.
During the ceremony Governor Holiday stated that the new Minister has accepted to serve in challenging economic times, at a time when there is much to do and much debate about the state of and vision for St. Maarten’s tourism-based economy. The Governor therefore recommended that the Minister, when deliberating taking action, use the oath as a guide to develop opportunities to realize the aspirations of the people.
Governor Holiday congratulated the new Minister and wished her strength and wisdom in the performance of her responsibilities as she seeks to meet her constitutional responsibility to the people of St. Maarten.
