GREAT BAY, Sint Maarten (DCOMM) – The St. Maarten Tourist Bureau (STB) in conjunction with Elliot Finkelman and Fred Mercer who both work for Expedia Cruise Ship Centers (ECSC) as Travel Consultants, coordinated the annual “Give Back Program” of ECSC.
This year the children were split in two different groups, one group went to the butterfly farm and the older ones went on a catamaran ride.
After the activities the two groups met at the Emilio Wilson Park where the children, volunteers and directors were treated to lunch and drinks.
After lunch the children played in the park during play time with each other and the volunteers. When the children were leaving, each home received schools items, clothing, toys etc.
Finkelman first contacted STB in 2013 to assist with the event for the Foster Children. This event would be the second event that the group hosted on the island.
ECSC takes care of the transportation, activities, food and drinks for the children as well as donate school supplies and clothing to the foster homes.
