GREAT BAY, Sint Maarten (DCOMM) – The Fire Department is reiterating the message from the Meteorological Department of St. Maarten (MDS) issued in their flood advisory, that motorists and persons living in low lying areas, should remain vigilant due to possible street flooding and localized flooding.
Motorists are advised to drive with caution in low lying areas; those residing in hillside communities are advised to look out for rock-falls.
The MDS flood advisory issued at 10.45am in in affect for the next 12 hours.
The conditions according to MDS is due to a tropical wave in the area.
