A tribute to the island paradise, St. Maarten / St. Martin | #SXMISNICE

2018

The song, SXM IS NICE (Oh What a Paradise), was a tribute to the island paradise, St. Maarten / St. Martin, originally recorded by the artist Tonca backed by Friends Band in 1987.

On its 30th year anniversary the song has been re-recorded by two of his children (performed by Sandra Brooks and produced by Alfonso D’Niscio Brooks) and is being presented to you as an official song of cooperation, goodwill and hope for the rebuilding of the Friendly Island.

In the aftermath of the severe devastation of hurricane IRMA, we offer this song as part of our identity, our resilience, and to promote the beauty, the people and the singular value of our paradise island St. Maarten / St. Martin.  #SXMSTRONG

The recording, SXM IS NICE (Oh What a Paradise) can be played throughout all locales and businesses on the island.  Every visitor that comes to St. Maarten / St. Martin — through its airport or harbor — can receive a copy as a token of appreciation and hope toward the rebuilding of the island.

This song gives a calm after the storm and provides a peaceful assuredness of the existence of St. Maarten / St. Martin and the resourcefulness, strength and tranquility of its people.  Our recording, as a transmitter of appreciation and hope, is a simple and effective tool for connecting with the local and global communities who are facilitators in the re-development of our island paradise.

Your involvement moves us forward to the goal of a rebirth for the island of “Sweet St. Maarten / St. Martin” and toward the goal of the rebuilding of our island’s economy.   Your support in the utilization of this recording is key.  Please contact us at your earliest convenience for your copies of SXM IS NICE (Oh What a Paradise) for broadcast and distribution.
