PHILIPSBURG, St. Maarten – Two businesses and an association have come together to bring a unique holiday experience.

Known as the Triple Threat Tasting, foodies all over the island will get to taste deserts from Cake Parlor, local flavored rums from Lazy Lizard and ham from Tastebuds of Paradise during happy hour on December 15.

Taking place at Lazy Lizard on the boardwalk from 5:00pm, this happy hour will provide these businesses an opportunity to collaborate, which is the vision of Nikhil “Nik” Kukreja, owner of Lazy Lizard.

Nik started in the food business four years ago after building the family jewelry business for more than a decade. In fulfilling his dream to become a restaurateur, Nik and his team focused on quality local dishes with international appeal and extraordinary service. These two key components helped Lazy Lizard to be recognized as #1 restaurant among 90 listed in Philipsburg and #4 among 500 on the island according to TripAdvisor.

Though Lazy Lizard was destroyed during Irma, Nik and his staff provided food to the teachers of Martin Luther King Jr. School and randomly fed VKS and GEBE workers post-Irma. His focus now is to work with other local businesses during the holidays to help rebuild the economy of St. Maarten.

For this reason, he is working with Lisa Yu-Turner of Cake Parlor and representatives of Tastebuds of Paradise to create this experience. Currently, Lazy Lizard does not provide desert specials while Cake Parlor provides deserts and cakes exclusively. Similarly, Tastebuds of Paradise will be providing samples of their flavored hams.

At Triple Threat Tasting, people can expect to get into the Christmas atmosphere and enjoy special menus. For more information, contact Nikhil Kukreja at +1(721) 520-4653 or email: nikhilkukreja@gmail.com.
