This is an emergency Public Notice from the Ministry of VROMI.
A large fire has erupted on Pond Island at the temporary dump site used for the hurricane debris. This fire is adjacent to the little league stadium and the fire department, police and VROMI are on the scene.
Residents in the immediate area are asked to exercise precautionary measures for the smoke, such as closing windows and driving with the windows up.
