Man arrested for weapons possession
On Saturday April 21st in the evening hours a police patrol was sent to Bush road where a man well-known to police with initials T.C. was standing on the Bush road at the entrance to Blijden drive, with a machete in his hand.
On the scene the police did encounter this man who started to behave aggressive by walking towards the patrol in a menacing way. He was ordered by the officers to drop the machete but he refused to do so. The police officers had to use the necessary force to disarm the suspect.
The suspect was immediately arrested and the machete was confiscated for further investigation. The suspect was taken to the Philipsburg Police Head Quarters where he was detained for questioning.
Suspect arrested for breaking into a private vehicle
On Sunday April 22nd the owner of a private vehicle with license plate M-11005 filed a report at the police department stating that his vehicle which was parked on the Clem Labega Square was broken into and that the suspect was still sleeping in the vehicle.
On the scene the investigating officers encountered the suspect identified with initials L.P.L. still a sleep in the vehicle. The suspect was arrested on the scene and taken to the police station where he remains for questioning and further investigation.
