PHILIPSBURG – On Thursday September 27th, Kelvin Bloyden the Sint Maarten representative on the Management Board of the Common Court of Justice (Beheerraad Gemeenschappelijk Hof van Justitie) received the final approval to begin the urgent repairs to the Courthouse and annex buildings.
The approval by the Council of Ministers follows a meeting that was held on August 31st, with Prime Minister Leona Romeo Marlin and Minister of Justice Cornelius deWeever who agreed in principal that the Management Board of the Common Court of Justice will execute the necessary repairs to both buildings mentioned above.
One of the significant conditions agreed upon during the process is the necessity of the Management Board of the Common Court of Justice to maintain consultation and cooperation with the Monument Council.
