Controls leads to one arrest

The Sint Maarten police conducted controls in the Cole Bay area on Wednesday 13th February at approximately 09.30 p.m. which led to the arrest one male suspect.

The arrest took place while conducting general controls in the vicinity of Quality Supermarket on the Well Road. The male suspect identified with initials D.D.J.P.B. was searched and was found in the procession of a small quantity of marijuana.

The investigating officers confiscated the drugs and placed the suspect under arrest. He was brought into the station for further question.


Destruction of property

One male suspect identified with initials S.J. is now in custody following the destruction of property at KFC on Bush road.

According to reports the incident took place Wednesday the 13th February at approximately 11.00 p.m., when a disagreement between the suspect and an employee of KFC which led to him damaging one of the windows.

This investigation is under investigation by the Detective Department.


Victim ill-treated with machete

Detectives are presently investigating a case of ill-treatment involving the male suspect identified with initials R.A.D. The incident took place on Wednesday February 13th at approximately 11.00 p.m. on Lime road in Sint Peters. According to the report a domestic dispute between the suspect and the mother of his child had taken place.

This dispute got out of hand which led to the suspect inuring with victim with a machete to her left arm and leg. The suspect turned himself in to the Police head quarters where he was arrested and placed in custody for questioning.

The machete used was also confiscated for further investigation.
